ONE Community has come together to show our support for our friends, Steven Edmondson and Cody Henderson Tragedy struck their lives when a head on collision on March 4 caused Steven's arm to be amputated, liver to be lacerated, both legs shattered, and left him in critical condition with continuing complications Cody has been by his side from the site of the horrific accident after he got the call, to all nighters in the ICU at UAB ever since Their lives have abruptly halted and we want to help them Show your support and come join us for a little show we have pulled together Rupaul's Drag Race season 9 star, Trinity Taylor will headline the performances VIP's will have the opportunity for a meet and greet and selfies with Trinity and the cast along with hors d'oeuvres and a private VIP bar Joining Trinity will be an award winning lineup of performers including Ginger Snapp, Chloe Von Trapp, Audrina Taylor, and Cierra Symone Campbell and more! Author Vicki Covington will be doing a book signing at 5 pm at The Alabama Booksmith, 2626 19th Place South, Homewood, AL 35209  for her new novel, ONCE IN A BLUE MOON Back in the 1990s, Vicki published 4 novelsone every two yearswith Simon & Schuster She has also published several stories in the New Yorker and wrote the Meditations for Bad Girls column for the Oxford American Because of various family situations, Vickis muse fell silent and she did not write a word for 15 years About 2 years ago, her muse returned and the result is ONCE IN A BLUE MOON Author Vicki Covington will be doing a book signing at 5 pm at The Alabama Booksmith, 2626 19th Place South, Homewood, AL 35209   The novel is set in Birmingham, Alabama, during the 2008 Presidential election campaign Abraham Kasir is the owner of several once-majestic Victorian homes that are now converted into apartments Kind-hearted Mr Kasir collects lost souls and offers them a place of solace where they can heal their inner wounds and find a way back to a better life We follow four of his tenants as they join the Obama campaign and form a tight supportive community As the novel progresses, we learn the back stories that explain how each of these characters arrived at this community As the book unfolds, the characters find themselves and each other in a season when hope and change seem like real possibilities
